日本人学習者がすでに知っているけれど、もっと使うべき英語イディオム10選
英語学習で最も難しい部分の一つが「イディオム」です。言葉だけからは意味が見えにくく、わかりにくいことが多いからです。
しかし、日本人学習者にとって朗報があります。よく使われる英語イディオムの中には、日本語にほぼ直訳できるものがあるのです。意味はすでにご存じのはず。あとは英語での形を意識し、自然な会話で使えるように練習すればいいのです。

日本語の対応表現：言うは易く行うは難し
意味：口で言うのは簡単だが、実際にやるのは難しい。

3. Rome wasn’t built in a day

日本語の対応表現：鉄は熱いうちに打て
意味：チャンスがあるうちに行動すること。

8. Add fuel to the fire
日本語の対応表現：火に油を注ぐ
意味：悪い状況をさらに悪化させること。
